National Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The Law 'On the National Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan' was adopted on November 18, 1991 at the extraordinary VII session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The national flag and its symbols represent the historical connection with states that existed in the territory of modern Uzbekistan and embody the national cultural traditions of the republic.
Blue color - symbolizes the eternal sky and the essence of life. It represents goodness, wisdom, honesty, glory and loyalty. The flag of Amir Timur's state was also blue.
White color - a symbol of sacred peace. It harmonizes with the daylight and celestial bodies. It represents purity, innocence, dreams and inner beauty.
Green color - symbolizes the renewal of nature, youth, hope and joy.
Red stripes - represent the vital energy flowing through our veins.
